What kind of a learner are you?
Role of senses in learning
From the perspective of efficient learning, people usually have a dominant style. Do you remember e.g. new words best when you hear them or when you see them in writing? Or do you perhaps learn them most effectively by using them in a real context, in other words, by doing?
Find out by doing this little test on learning styles and learn more!
To conclude
It can be difficult to find a suitable learning style for yourself if you have never thought about it before. You may, however, have noticed some regular patterns/features in your behaviour: you might tend to choose similar types of courses, your enthusiasm might depend on the support of your teachers, or you might learn better by listening to a lecture than by reading the same content in a book. Being aware of this fact is important because you can then focus on the kinds of study habits that have worked best for you. Don’t get stuck on them, however, because you might, in fact, notice that there are more efficient and enjoyable ways of language learning that you have tried so far. It is always worth experimenting with some new ways and new types of courses and materials.
