4.5 CONCLUSION

In this chapter we described the structure and the contents of the learning space Netro. We introduced the objectives of Netro from both the social and individual perspectives, after which we gave a detailed description of the three sections of Netro: the Bank, the Stop and the Path. This structure is built to support collaborative meaning making processes through directing the Netro passengers attention to web related issues, and through getting the passengers to verbalise their thoughts. In order to find out whether the learning space and the eight Phases through which the passengers travel actually support these processes, we conducted a test drive and tested the learning space with the help of a group of university students. In the following chapter, we will describe the context and the course of the test drive and report on the passengers' conceptions of web literacy.
