WEBQUEST
WebQuests are problem-solving activities that use
material from the Internet. WebQuests were developed in the mid 1990s
by Bernie Dodge. WebQuests can be individual or group activities and
sometimes the student is asked to take on a role. The students have
an active role in WebQuests because they can use the sources independently.
WebQuests teach many cognitive skills, for example information gathering,
understanding and comparing. In doing WebQuests you will learn to find
information on the Web and to read it critically. WebQuests are also
good tasks for language learning because the students use authentic
and up-to-date learning material.
