WORKSHOP

A workshop is a presentation done in groups. You will give a presentation and activate the whole class by giving them topics of discussion.

Instructions for workshop:
Form a group of 3-4 students.
In your group, the idea is to prepare a 15-minute workshop.
In your workshop, you should include a 5-minute introduction to a topic of your choice (however, your topic should be related to study skills! Make sure that the tutors approve of your topic!). After the introduction, you should activate your audience by giving them topics to discuss (related to your introduction), some exercises or tasks or assignments or anything else you want for about 10 minutes.
In the end, you should wrap up the workshop at least in a few sentences (so that it has some kind of a conclusion).
Remember that you only have 15 minutes!
Divide the work between your group and make sure that everyone is responsible for at least one aspect of your workshop (this is an assignment for the whole group i.e. everyone in the group should contribute!).
When preparing your workshop, remember the type of audience you are going to talk to.
Rehearse your workshop at least once.
If you want, you can prepare a handout, a transparency, a PowerPoint presentation to support your oral presentation. You can also use pictures, stories etc. in your workshop.
