The feedback on exercise C: Outlining by using numbered points

  1. The speaker uses three numbered points. First, second (part of the presentation..), and third (part of the presentation...).

  2. He stops using numbered points after third.

  3. You shouldn’t have been able to find the next numbered point fourth from the corpus because it is not commonly used as a numbered point to outline a presentation. Native speakers usually stop using numbered points after third.

  4. Second is an adjective whereas secondly is an adverb. Thus second can be used more freely in almost any context of a presentation as an ordinal number or simply as an adjective. The use of secondly is more restricted.
