Feedback on exercise B:

You obviously noticed that there are many introductory elements present. The speaker begins to intoduce the topic by saying: ‘And in my capacity as a language teacher… etc.’ Then he introduces the research question/problem: ‘Okay, so what is the problem, so to speak, or the research question… etc.’ Finally the speaker introduces the actual name of the topic: ‘Hence the catchy title of my presentation… etc.’ Apart from the introductory elements, it was also possible to pick out one expression that clarifies a point: ‘So to give you a picture of what I am talking about…etc.’ Expressions this long are obviously a bit hard to find in the corpus, but if you try to make searches in the corpus on the useful expressions listed in the table, you should be able to obtain some good results.
